Stakeholder consultation is an integral part of the study and will include a series of activities to gather input from stakeholders – including workshops and forums in the five countries of Eastern and Southern Africa and dialogues with civil society organisations in Brussels.

The project team has launched a short online survey (available in both English and French) to ask stakeholders about their view on the Economic Partnership Agreement, its impacts and its results. We invite stakeholders in the ESA countries and in the EU to complete the survey – if possible, please do so by 14 December 2020. Please click on the link, either above or here.
Consultation Activities So Far
On 11 September 2020, the European Commission (DG TRADE) held a Civil Society Dialogue on the state of play of negotiations and on the draft Inception Report for this study (please see the reports page to download a copy of the final Inception report). Upcoming Consultation Activities
The project team will be carrying out interviews in the five ESA countries and with selected stakeholders in the EU. Due to the current Covid situation, we will be doing so via telephone and video call.
